Week 3 Keys to the Game

MAHONING VALLEY?

This will be the first of two meetings against the Mahoning Valley Thunder for the Talons. Tulsa has never met face to face with the Thunder until now. The Talons will also be visiting Mahoning Valley on April 25th. Some may be asking where Mahoning Valley is at and wanting to know a little about them. The Thunder are actually located in Youngstown, Ohio and this will be their third season in the af2. The team is coming off of a poor 3-13 season and is so far 1-1 on the season. The team is coached by veteran af2 coach Mike Hold who is in his third season with the team. The Thunder team will be coming off of an 18 hour bus ride into Tulsa for the game. Mahoning Valley is 2-14 all time on the road and they haven’t won a road game since June 2nd 2007 @ Cincinnati. The Talons shouldn’t have a major problem with this team and if they can just execute efficiently and don’t allow turnovers to ruin the night.
