Man oh man, all of these bowl games are getting me ready for the Arena season. Can't wait to see the Iron offense light up the field with Greisen to Jones and Young rushing the ball. Should be a great season and I'm excited to see how this new league comes around and how the fans react. I have no doubt that the Milwaukee fans will turn out for some big games this season!

It may have a new name, but Rush returning in 2011
By Mike Spellman | Daily Herald StaffContact writer Mike Ditka, part owner of the Rush, said he was excited the AFL was coming back.

Alan Levin realizes how much fans of Arena League Football and the Chicago Rush have struggled since the league postponed its 2009 season.
Levin, part of the ownership group of the Rush, along with Arthur Price, Peter Levin and Mike Ditka, gets plenty of reminders.

Looks like Rvg going to IFL. They wont play until the 2011 season. There is a small video on the subject at KRGV.com in the Sports section titled Valley Pro Football Goes Into Hibernation. Looks like the investors don't want to rush into it, and need to work on a new lease with the Dodge Arena.

He has played arena football for teams in South Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Washington, New Hampshire, and Louisiana, and that’s just some of the places.
He just finished filming some scenes for the remake of the 1984 movie ``Red Dawn,” and is now living in Austin Texas, doing similar things for the hit television show ``Friday Night Lights” about to enter its third season.
Welcome to the wi…

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The Arkansas Twisters are to be members of the new Arena Football 1 league.
Sixteen teams will comprise the new league, which includes members of the AF2 league and the Arena Football League, the latter of which declared bankruptcy in August and didn't play last season. AF1 announced Monday it will start play in April.
In addition to the Twisters, which play in North Little Rock, teams in the new league are: Bo…

I really do hope that an owner or ownership group from Kansas City will step up and get a new team started here. There are many of us who were die hard for the Brigade that would love to have Arena football alive and kicking again.

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Twisters are planning to play football in Verizon Arena in North Little Rock next summer, though probably under a different banner.
Tuesday’s news that the Arena Football League will likely fold after 22 years isn’t expected to change much for the Twisters and their league, Arena Football 2. AF2 had little stake in the failed league because of a stand-alone business model in which the AF2 and its memb…

Little Rock, AR - The Twisters needed this win after dropping two in a row to those dreaded Oklahoma teams. This team has never looked the same after the loss of Rod Harper, but against the Dusters I saw a little progress in the receiving core with the addition of Aaron F…

The season is halfway over and the Twisters brought home a record of 6-2 after beating the Central Valley Coyotes in Fresno, California. I was hoping the team would carry a little payback with them into this non-conference game. They did just that and Kyle Rowley comp…

MAHONING VALLEY?
This will be the first of two meetings against the Mahoning Valley Thunder for the Talons. Tulsa has never met face to face with the Thunder until now. The Talons will also be visiting Mahoning Valley on April 25th. Some may be asking where Mahoning Valley is at and wanting to know a little about them. The Thunder are actually located in Youngstown, Ohio and this will be their third season in the af2. The team is coming off of a poor 3-13 season and is so far 1-1 on the season.…

The Talons hit the road this week and head to Des Moines, Iowa to face the 1-0 Barnstormers. Iowa defeated Milwaukee 60-38 in an impressive week 1 victory.
SHARPEN UP
Tulsa managed to grab a win against the Horsemen, but it was ugly and a much closer game than it should have been. Obviously the 4 INT’s by Allgood is something that will have to be controlled and quickly as we head further into the season. You could see the rust on Justin by the overthrown, underthrown, and picked off passes all…

After the tight win last week, the 1-0 Arkansas Twisters will be playing on the road for the first time this 2009 season and will be looking to improve to 2-0 tonight against the Amarillo Dusters. If the twisters can win tonight, it will mark only the second time in their 10 year existence that they have won their first two games back to back. The Twisters sputtered at times but came through and were able to hold off Bossier Shreveport in last weeks close battle. Though this game is not a divisi…

Quick Recap of the game:
(COURTEOUS OF AF2.COM) "The Arkansas Twisters defeated the Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings, 39-38, in a defensive minded contest in front of 3,819 fans at the Alltel Arena on Saturday night. The defenses set the tone of the night early when each team recorded a defensive stop on the opponent’s first offensive drive of the game. The Arkansas Twisters finally gave offensive pundits something to cheer about when QB Kyle Rowley connected with WR Robert Johnson o…

The Green Bay Blizzard opened the 2009 season against the af2 defending Champion Tennessee Valley Vipers. The Blizzard came into the contest with 15 rookies and only 4 players from last years Midwest Division Championship team. Tennessee Valley returned the majority of their team from a year ago, so many had the Vipers favored to win. The Blizzard had another idea for how this game would turn out.
The Blizzard offensive line came out and for the most part controlled the line of scrimmage, which…

The 2009 AF2 season is only two (virtually one) day away from officially kicking off for our beloved Arkansas Twisters. It's hard to believe the Twisters are entering their 10th season this Saturday-It only seems like just a year or two ago when Arkansas was awarded an expansion team. My how time truly can fly!
Anyways time to begin the first blog on our first game-The BattleWings of Bossier-Shreveport.
History of Opposing Team
The team when first introduced in 2000 was originally…
